MY FAVORITE COUPLE <3
Okay I saw this about literally everyone but these two are honestly so. cute. It's an amazing feeling when you know that two people are just meant for each other. It was sad to see my sister move out and live with someone other than my family, but I'm so happy it's someone I can trust like T. They're such a great match because they both think at a higher, deeper level than most people while still being goofy and charming. Oh, they also eat a lot, which I love of about them (because I'm not the last one eating when I'm with them) We went to the Cactus Garden at the Kapiolani Community College right before sunset. I've done photoshoots so many times and I still haven't learned my lesson when it comes to HOW FAST THE SUN SETS WHEN YOU'RE TRYING TO TAKE PHOTOS. The mosquitoes took a good pint of my blood, but it was worth it because LOOK HOW CUTE THEY ARE <3

Happy Saturday, today I took some pictures of an adorable couple. Kera and I have been talking about shooting since last year but we've both been so busy and never really got to it. We finally talked about it again and we set the date for today. Beaches are too overrated so I found a cute lil park and we got started.
A little background, Matt was my former trumpet section leader for the UH Marching band (he's a drum major now, pretty cool) and Kera was the flute section leader, and is friends with my oldest sister. I was so happy when these two started dating cause they're two of the few people that I became really close with during my short time in the UH band. Back to today's shoot; I haven't taken portraits of people in a while so I was scared how it was going to turn out (like I couldn't even sleep last night kine) but they were super flexible and down for anything. My heart melted a lil from time to time when I saw how well they worked with each other :') I also got bit (a lot) by mosquitoes. Story of my life :) I haven't gone shooting in such a long time (if you haven't noticed by now, I haven't been doing a lot of things recently) so i was absolutely stoked about how these pictures came out!
Me and Madison went to Diamond Head Lookout where we waited for Tee & Chris so we could all take pictures of the sunset. When I first started taking photos, all I did was landscape because that was the easiest, but I started to transition more into portraits in my senior year, because it let me get more creative. BUT. Today was the perfect day for both because the lighting was so beautiful (that's one of the things I love about Hawai'i). I love getting bokeh & sun glares into my shots, and prime time (an hour before sunset) always maximizes the color & sun effects. I crouched so long for the first landscape photo that when I stood up I almost fell off the cliff LOL. For all three of my best shots today, I took them all near the ground & used my live view to get an accurate picture. Madison took an amazing candid shot of me as well, and Tee didn't even make it to sunset, and Chris was MIA (so the usual). |
